Tishna Rollo, LPC
I love connecting with people in a deep and authentic way. With a natural ability to tune in to emotions and a curiosity about the human psyche, becoming a therapist was an easy choice for me. Through my time on both sides of the therapy experience, I have developed a deep respect for the power of therapy. I am passionate about helping people through their healing and personal growth journeys and am committed to honing my therapeutic skills through ongoing training and study.
My Approach to Therapy
Being a relational therapist, I understand that the quality of the therapeutic relationship plays a significant role in the healing process. We can grow and make transformational change most effectively in relationships in which we feel safe, understood, and cared about. As your therapist, I will meet you with warmth, compassion, and authenticity.
I understand that your experience, strengths, and struggles are unique, therefore I tailor therapy sessions to meet your particular needs. Therapy with me tends to be a blend of depth-oriented talk therapy with mindfulness-based/ experiential processing. I pull from my training in Attachment Theory, AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy), IFS (Internal Family Systems), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and Mindful Self-Compassion. While these theories inform my work, I respect your wisdom and value collaboration in sessions. You will always have a say in what feels most helpful to you in our work together.
I celebrate diversity and inclusion of all forms of identity across race, ethnicity, culture, gender identity, sexuality, religion, and physical ability. I honor your cultural strengths, recognize the impact of social injustice, and am committed to learning about your unique challenges. In our sessions, you can expect me to be actively engaged, to bring my expertise and empathy, and to treat you with respect.

Experience
Before opening my psychotherapy practice, I gained valuable experience in a variety of mental health settings. I provided individual counseling to adults and youth, group and family therapy, case management, psychoeducation, parent consultation, and therapeutic direct care. I bring my experience from a community mental health clinic, a school-based agency, an advocacy center, a residential treatment center, and a university counseling clinic to the work I do today.
